Absence Record Visibility Issue and Solution

Issue Observed:

  • An employee was unable to view a previously submitted absence record.
  • There were two records under the same absence type (e.g., Sick Leave):
    • One with Completed status
    • One with In Progress status

System Behavior:

  • Oracle HCM shows only the latest absence record by default.
  • Older or completed absence entries do not appear unless specifically filtered.

Solution:

  • Instruct users to change the view filter to “All” in the absence history page.
  • This ensures both active and completed records are visible to the employee.
