Approval Workflow in Oracle Fusion HCM

Oracle Fusion HCM is a cloud-based human capital management solution that provides a comprehensive set of features and functionalities to manage the entire employee lifecycle. One of the key features of Oracle Fusion HCM is the approval workflow, which enables you to define and automate the approval process for various HR transactions, such as hiring, promotion, termination, transfer, and so on.

The approval workflow in Oracle Fusion HCM is based on the Oracle SOA Suite, which provides a flexible and powerful framework for modeling and executing business processes. The approval workflow consists of three main components:

Approval Rules: These are the conditions and criteria that determine who needs to approve a transaction, in what order, and under what circumstances. You can use predefined approval rules or create your own custom rules.

Approval Tasks: These are the individual steps or actions that are performed by the approvers or the system during the approval process. For example, an approval task can be to review the transaction details, approve or reject the transaction, or escalate the transaction to another approver.

Approval Notifications: These are the messages that are sent to the approvers or other parties involved in the approval process. The notifications can be delivered through various channels, such as email, and/or worklist. The notifications can also include attachments, comments, and actions that the recipients can perform.
