The Person Number is a unique identifier for a person record in the Oracle HCM system. It is assigned automatically (or manually) when a person’s record is created. The person number is required and valid across the entire enterprise.
The Worker Number is an identifier associated with a specific work relationship and legal employer. Worker numbers can either be assigned automatically or manually. The number sequence for automatic allocation can be global or specific to each legal employer.
