How to Hide Other Countries in Document Type Selection in Oracle HCM

1. Requirement:

Restricting document types to specific countries (e.g., allowing only Saudi Arabia document types) ensures compliance and simplifies document management.

2. Steps to Hide Other Countries in Document Type Selection:

  1. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance → Tasks → Manage Document Type Security Profile.
  2. Click on the Create icon.
  3. Choose the Include option.
  4. Select the country-specific document types from the LOV drop-down (e.g., Saudi Arabia).
  5. Assign a name to the new security profile.
  6. Go to Manage Data Roles and Security Profiles.
  7. Search for the employee’s role (e.g., Human Resource Specialist) and click Edit.
  8. In Security Profiles → Document Types, select the created security profile.
  9. Review and Submit the changes.

3. Assign and Test the Configuration:

  • Assign the updated Data Role to an employee.
