How to Make the Attachment Attribute Visible on Development Goals

📌 Overview

By default, the Attachments attribute in Development Goals may not be visible. Using HCM Experience Design Studio, administrators can configure Oracle HCM to enable attachments for Development Goals.

🛠 Steps to Enable Attachments in Development Goals

1️⃣ Activate a Sandbox

📍 Navigation Path:
👉 Navigator → Configuration → Sandboxes

📍 Steps:
1️⃣ Click Create Sandbox.
2️⃣ Select HCM Experience Design Studio as the tool.
3️⃣ Click Create and then Enter Sandbox.

2️⃣ Navigate to HCM Experience Design Studio

📍 Steps:
1️⃣ Go to My Client Groups → Show More → HCM Experience Design Studio.
2️⃣ Select Transaction Design Studio.
3️⃣ From the Action List, choose View Development Goal.
4️⃣ Click Add to create a new rule.

3️⃣ Configure the Attachments Attribute

📍 Steps:
1️⃣ In the Available Attributes section, select Basic Information under Data Source.
2️⃣ Locate the Attachments attribute.
3️⃣ Set the Visibility to Visible.
4️⃣ Click Save and Close.

4️⃣ Verify Changes in Development Goals

📍 Navigation Path:
👉 Me → Career and Performance → Career Development

📍 Steps:
1️⃣ Click Add Development Goal.
2️⃣ Check for the Attachments field in the form.

5️⃣ Publish the Sandbox

📍 Steps:
1️⃣ Go back to Sandboxes.
2️⃣ Click Publish Sandbox to apply changes across the system.
3️⃣ Click OK to confirm.
