Q: What security roles have access to the observation checklist?
A: Whoever can manage content as an administrator can manage the Observation Checklists items.
Q: Can Learning Specialists configure Observation Checklists without any additional security roles? Where are these checklists configured by administrators?
A: No different than the privileges required to manage Assessments. However to configure the actual questions requires privileges to manage questionnaires and questions, just like for Assessments.
Q: Can we have other Observation Checklists to choose from for the learner to complete the self-assessment?
A: No, if the learner is going to answer questions in the Observer Checklist section, it will be the same as the ones for the Observer.
Q: Can we customize the questions in the Observation Checklist, or are they already the same 4, plus the Observion Outcome?
A: Yes, the administrator defines which questions to include in the Observer Checklist section,
Q: What if a learner is marked complete for the ILT, but fails the Observation Checklist. How does this work?
A: No different than how it works if they failed any other Activity. The Assignment will be completed as Not Passed when any one of the activities ends up in a Not Passed status (ie fails)
Q: Can the observer see all of their open items for review on one screen? I.e. if one observer is responsible for 20 learners who completed an activity - can they see that in one view and work down the list?
A: Yes. Under the bell icon in the application where they see all other approval tasks pending their review.
Q: Will observers need security access to the Learning Administration pages? Or can any employee be an observer?
A: Access to My Client Groups > Learning is not required for an observer.
Q: Can the Observation Checklist work within a learning plan (specialization)?
A: An observation checklist is an activity in an offering. An offering is a means to complete a course. A course can be added to a specialization and used solely for the purpose of the observation if desired.
Q: Can the Observation Checklist be initiated after the time of completion with a specific period e.g. 90 days , or 120 days?
A: No, however using one Course/Offering for the training, and another for the observation can achieve this by having an Initiative on the "observation Course/Offering" that assigns to learners based on the completion of something else.
Q: Will this Observation Checklist impact Oracle Guided Learning?
A: "Oracle Guided Learning" is not part of Oracle Learning, so the Observation Checklist functionality should have no impact on "Oracle Guided Learning".

A: As Observation Checklists are Activities, you can - like for any other Activities - choose to use it for some Offerings for groups of employees and choose not to use it for other Offerings for other groups of employees.
Q: How can the learner see/review the observer's recorded attempt?
A: Learners cannot see the observers' answers in the Observation Checklist.
Q: Which Roles are needed for Observer to access the observation Checklist?
Q: What will be the cause of the Observer not receiving bell notifications?
Q: Is there any other way Observer can complete Observation Checklist, In our case Observer is Instructor?
Observers can only access an Observation Checklist from the Notification sent to them, and this does not require any specific Role to receive these Notifications.
If the Observer does not receive the expected Observation Checklist Notifications, you should file an SR with Oracle Support, they will be able to help you solve this issue.
Q: Is the option of Pass or Fail for Overall Decision customizable?
A: No, there are no built-in ways in Learning to change "Pass" or "Fail".
Q: Can the observation checklist be the first activity in a course?
A: Yes, any number of Activities with an Observation Checklist can be placed anywhere in an Offering,
Q: Can an observer upload some material(pdf file) while filling out the observation checklist for a learner?
