Tasks That Managers Can Perform in Goal Management

Managers play a vital role in the Goal Management module of Oracle Talent Management by actively setting and managing employee performance goals. Here are the key tasks a manager can perform:

  1. Assign Performance Goals

    • Assign performance goals to direct reports as part of a goal plan with a specific review period.
  2. Add Target Outcomes

    • If enabled, managers can define target outcomes for goals, which automatically update the person profiles of their reportees.
  3. Add and Update Tasks

    • Define and modify action items within a goal to guide how the reportees can achieve them effectively.
  4. Align Goals

    • Align an employee’s goals with other organizational or departmental goals to ensure strategic consistency.
  5. Approve Goals

    • Approve goals submitted by direct reportees before they are finalized and tracked.
  6. Cancel or Delete Goals

    • Remove goals that are no longer relevant or required for a reportee.
  7. Copy Goals

    • Copy an existing goal to assign to another reportee, with the flexibility to modify the goal plan and attributes accordingly.
  8. Assign Goals from Multiple Interfaces

    • Assign goals via multiple interfaces such as:
      • Worker’s Person Spotlight
      • My Team Goals page
      • My Goals page within the Goals work area.
  9. Share Goals

    • Share goals with individual workers or their colleagues from the My Goals page for collaboration or visibility.
