What are the activities a line manager can perform in goal management?

  1. Set a performance target for your team member's work during a certain time frame.
  2. If allowed, specify the desired outcomes for these goals, and the system will update your team members' profiles automatically.
  3. Add and edit tasks that explain the specific steps your team members need to take to achieve their goals.
  4. Write notes on your team members' goals, and remove them if needed.
  5. Make sure your team members' goals are in line with other goals in your team or organization.
  6. Give the green light to goals your team members propose.
  7. Cancel or remove goals that are no longer relevant for your team members.
  8. Share your own performance goals with your team members or others.
  9. Duplicate a goal for a team member and modify it as necessary. The duplicated goal will be added to their list of goals.
  10. Transfer a goal to a different plan, separating it from its original plan.
  11. Extend a goal to allow your team members more time to work on it. The new goal plan must have a later end date. Any changes made to the goal in the original plan will also apply to the extended plan.
  12. Keep track of the measurements and progress made on your team members' goals.

Note: If your team members have added notes to the goals you assigned them, you can't delete those goals. However, you do have the option to cancel or delete goals assigned by HR specialists if it's allowed in the goal plan. When you cancel or delete a goal assigned by an HR specialist, both the HR specialist and the employee whose goal was affected will receive notifications if notifications are enabled for this action.
