Application Role:
Application role defines a specific data role assigned to the users who will then be assigned as an approver.
Representative:
This option uses the Areas of Responsibility (AoR) assignment to find the appropriate approver. For example, a promotion transaction may require approval from HR Business Partner assigned to the worker.
This option requires that AoR assignment be defined in such a way that all workers have the appropriate representative assigned.
