Difference between Community and Specialization in learning cloud

Communities and Specializations are two very different things even if you can group Courses in both. Specializations: Specializations allow admins to design learning plans or learning paths so learners can achieve a larger learner objective. Use Specializations to define the Courses that Learners must complete to achieve the objectives of a Specialization. To complete the Specialization, learners must complete the Course requirements in all Sections of a Specialization.

Type of learning assignments

Voluntary Learner - Here, assignment completion of voluntary items is not mandatory. Learners can see these assignments in the Voluntary Learning section of their Current Learning page. They choose when to complete them.

There is currently no way to create Learning Initiatives using the HCM Data Loader tool. Learning Initiatives need to be created manually.

What level of data instructor can access

If a course minimum headcount is not achieved then could the system will automatically cancel the course. If yes, can we set the course cancellation date certain days before the course start date?

No, the course will not be canceled automatically in the system if the headcount is not matched. However, minimum and maximum capacity functionality is at the offering level and not a course level

If we can add a checkbox if External Learner has paid the money (Payment has been done outside the system but it is used to record into the Oracle)

To see if the external user has paid for the course, go to Edit Assignment through DFF at the course level and follow the instructions below: My Client Group > Select Course > Select Learner > Click Edit Assignment. So, the learner can see if the course is given to an external learner or not. If it is, then the learner paid for that course, as it can be mapped in front of each learner.
